Korea Tourist Attraction - Mountain (part 2) - JiRiSan Mountain (part 1) - NoGoDan Peak

JiRiSan Mountain(지리산) is the biggest Mountain in South Korea and second tallest Mountain(1915m) in South Korea. NoGoDan Peak is the easiest peak in JiRiSan Mountain to climb. It took about 1 hour and 30 minutes (3 km) to get to the peak from SeongSamJae (성삼재) parking lot where you can park your car.
This wood building in the left of the photo is NoGoDan Peak mountain shelter. You can book the shelter in this website (http://english.knps.or.kr/). It gets very tough to book the shelter as there are so many demand for the shelter. One thing I want to notify is that you have to go to NoGoDan Peak until 3:00 pm for safety reason (I recommend getting the peak before 2:00 pm). From July 1st to end of October you should book allowance to get to the top of NoGoDan Peak.
This was shot from the entrance of NoGoDan Peak.

NoGoDan Peak is so beautiful. It was my second time visiting JiRiSan Mountain (지리산). I personally highly recommend visiting NoGoDan Peak(노고단).

Korea Tourist Attraction - Gyeonggi-do Province (part 1) - YongMunSa Temple (용문사)

YongMunSa Temple (용문사) is in YangPyeong(양평), Gyeonggi-do Province (경기도), South Korea. You can take subway from Seoul and go to YongMun station(용문역) and take taxi to YongMunSa Temple. YongMunSa Temple is famous for its 1000 years old Ginkgo tree.

Stone towers are very common in temples in Korea. Stone towers are made for commemorate well thought of monk. You can see actual stone tower in YongMunSa Temple.

I couldn't find temple that was refreshing near Seoul. Most of my favorite temples are far away from Seoul. However, I could feel the same feeling when I visited this temple. I recommend foreigners to visit here if you can't go far away from Seoul but want to feel the real Korean temple and see magnificent 1000 years old Ginkgo tree .
